CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina men’s golf garnet team won the team title at the Charleston Southern Invitational on Tuesday at the Par 72, 6298-yard Crowfield Plantation Course. The Gamecocks shot their best team round of the tournament on Tuesday and finished with a total score of 290-288-283=861.

Redshirt sophomore Patrick Cunning paced Carolina, finishing in fourth with a total score of 71-71-72=214. Sophomore Mark Silvers carded a 69, the best round of the event for South Carolina, and wound up on in a tie for seventh.

Sophomore Allen Koon fired a final round 71 and finished with a total score of 74-72-71=217. Koon finished in a tie for ninth. Freshman Patrick Rada posted a one-under par on the final 18 holes, finishing in a tie for 17th (72-78-71=221).

Redshirt junior David Kite capped the tournament in a tie for 21st with a total score of 77-71-74=222.
