Four University of South Carolina golfers finished in the top-25 over the weekend in the 75th annual South Carolina Golf Association State Amateur, played at Aiken’s Palmetto Golf Club (Par 70 – 6,713 yards). Incoming freshman George Bryan IV (Chapin) led the way by placing in a tie for sixth.

Bryan shot rounds of 69-72-68-74=283 and finished six strokes off the individual medalist, Jeffrey Goff of Jackson.

Rising sophomore Baker Elmore finished tied for 13th. The Cheraw native recorded a four-day total of 288 with rounds of 70-71-76-71.

Redshirt sophomore Patrick Cunning (Aiken) placed in a tie for 15th with a four-day total of 289. Cunning fired rounds of 70-74-71-74.

Rising junior Mark Anderson (Beaufort) wound up tied for 22nd with a total score of 290 following rounds of 74-76-71-76.

Incoming freshman Patrick Rada (Anderson) also made the cut on Friday to play through the weekend. He shot rounds of 75-73-79-72 for a four-round total of 298.
