Final Stats

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Antywane Robinson scored 18 points and Mardy Collins added 15 as Temple pulled away in the second half for a 63-50 win over South Carolina on Thursday night.

Temple, which held only a 48-46 edge after a Tarence Kinsey dunk with just over six minutes to play, put the game away with a 12-2 run that culminated with a tip-in by Dion Dacons with 2:10 left.

The teams went into halftime tied 22-22, but Robinson scored 16 of his 18 points after the break, including four 3-pointers, as the Owls (6-3) hit on 17 of 27 shots after intermission. Robinson also led Temple with seven rebounds.

Dustin Salisbery scored 11 of his 13 points in the first half.

The Owls (6-3) also got a lift from 6-foot-11 center Wayne Marshall, who made his first appearance of the season, after missing the first eight games with dizzy spells.

Kinsey led South Carolina (7-3), which had been averaging 74.3 points per game, with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Rocky Trice and Brandon Wallace each finished with 10.
