Columbia, S.C. –
Tigerburn has been sceheduled for Friday, Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. at the University of South Carolina. This year’s pep rally will take place on the Blatt Physical Education Center fields at the corner of Sumter and Wheat streets.

The gates will open at 4 p.m., and the event is free. USC students, faculty and staff and fans are encouraged to attend. The event is a prelude to the football game between the two schools Saturday, Nov. 19.

The 25-foot tiger this year has been designed and built by a team of
mechanical engineering students under the direction of Dr. Abdel Bayoumi, a
professor of mechanical engineering. For added impact, the students have
designed the tiger to have a moveable lower jaw.
