Columbia, S.C. –
The 2005 Wachovia Junior Davis Cup which has seen players such as Jim Courier, Brad Gilbert, Malavai Washington, and Ken Flach will be hosted on the campus of the University of South Carolina, July 30th to August 2nd.

Play, which begins at 8 a.m. each day, is in a team format and action will take place at three facilities on the University of South Carolina campus: the Sam Daniel Tennis Center (USC men’s courts on Heyward Street at the Roost), the Maxcy Gregg Tennis Facility (USC women’s courts on Blossom Street), and the Columbia Tennis Center (corner of Pickens and Whaley streets at the water tower). Teams will play a seven-point match (six singles, and three doubles matches) with the winner advancing. Seventeen regions from across the country are represented, including the Southern California Section who is the 2004 defending Wachovia Junior Davis Cup Champion. Seedings and the complete bracket will be released Thursday morning.

All championship draw matches from Saturday-Tuesday will be played at the Sam Daniel tennis facility. The field includes seven of the top 10 players in the country for the boys 18 division.
