The Score International College All-Stars went into action on Monday night against the San Lazaro Club basketball team in Santo Domingo led by two of USC’s own – Tre’ Kelley and Brandon Wallace.

The San Lazaro team took an early 12-4 lead on the USA team, but with the help of Shawn Holtz of Ole Miss, who came off the bench in the first quarter with 6 points and several key rebounds, and the magical ball handling and scoring by Tre Kelley of the University of South Carolina, the USA team came back to take the lead at the end of the first quarter 28-24. The game remained close through the second quarter with the rebounding and 12 first half points of Michael Campbell of Mississippi State University, and the USA team maintained a 3 point lead at the half, 51-48.

The third quarter began with a flurry, as the USA team made an early run to take a commanding lead outscoring the San Lazaro team 33-16 and a 20 point lead as the third quarter ended. The third quarter was a barrage of 3 pointers for the USA team, as Shawan Robinson and Michael Joiner hit 2 three pointers each. Shawan Robinson finished with 4 three pointers for the game and Michael of Florida State University end with a total of 3 for the game.

The USA team finished the fourth quarter with a commanding victory, 106-87, with 6 player scoring in double figures. Along with a balanced scoring attack, the rebounding of Marcus Campbell, Shaun Holtz, Brandon Wallace of University of South Carolina. Coaches Tommy Kyle and Anthony Clark did a great job of bringing these talented players together in short time, and with an excellent playing rotation plan created a very balanced attack finally wearing down the San Lazaro team.
