Columbia, S.C. –
South Carolina volleyball will make history this fall as they will host the Clemson Tigers at the Colonial Center on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. In honor of the occasion, fans will be able to get in for $1 admission. This marks the first time that volleyball has ever played in the arena. A block party will be held outside prior to the match with prizes and games for the fans.

“This is an exciting opportunity for us and the community,” said head coach Kim Hudson. “Our goal is to break a South Carolina attendance record and have a chance to start the season off with a lot of energy and enthusiasm.”

This season, the Gamecocks will host some of the best in college volleyball including defending national champion Southern California and Top 25 teams in Michigan State and Notre Dame.

The Garnet and Black begin practice next week and open the season on Sept. 3 against Wake Forest at the Wake Forest Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.
