ORLANDO, Fla. – The South Carolina men’s tennis team stopped their three-match slide with a 6-1 victory over Webber International Wednesday. The Gamecocks took two of the doubles matches and five of the six singles matches for the victory.

Ben Atkinson and Carl Wermee notched the win at No. 3 doubles to seal the doubles point for Carolina, 8-2 over Per Ekvall and Fredrik Jansson. Meanwhile at No. 2 doubles, Geraldo Knorr and Pedro Rodrigues topped Christopher Bonadona and Attila Janosdeak, 8-3.

Carolina took No. 2 through No. 6 singles, rolling to the win over the sixth-ranked (NAIA) Warriors. Carl Wermee topped Bonadona at No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-1 while Pedro Rodrigues beat Nicholas Jungkind 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Also recording the 6-1, 6-1 victory was Rob Cassidy over Ekvall.
