NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Live Stats – 5:15 p.m. (CT) is the expected start time as 10th-seeded Carolina will square off against second-seeded Florida in the SEC Tournament on Friday in Nashville, Tenn., as rain in the area has forced a four hour delay in the start of the match.
Delays have ensued for the second day of tournament action as the Brownlee O. Curry Tennis Center indoor facility only has five courts for play. The Gamecocks faced a similar day on Thursday, waiting to begin until 3:14 p.m. (CT), only to be pushed into a two hour, 16 minute delay after 20 minutes of action. Carolina eventually edged out host Vanderbilt in a 4-3 thriller.
Carolina fell to the Gators, 5-2, in the regular season on April 10 in Gainesville. USC hopes to avenge that loss as they did yesterday, with a 4-3 win over the host Vanderbilt Commodores. Stay tuned to www.uscsports.com, the official home of Gamecock athletics, for further updates.
