2011 South Carolina NCAA Tournament Central

NCAA First Round Time Set Between South Carolina and Wake Forest
Kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) in Palo Alto next Friday

Game time has been set for next Friday’s NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament First Round matchup between Wake Forest and South Carolina. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, Nov. 17 at Stone Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina.

The winner will advance to play No. 14 James Madison on November 20, at 1 p.m. (ET).

South Carolina earned an at-large bid to the tournament after winning the Conference USA regular season title with a record of 6-1-1. Wake Forest earned an at-large bid to the tournament after finishing fifth in the ACC with a record of 4-3-1.

From I-77
Exit right onto Bluff Road (Exit 5). Take Bluff Road into town. Turn right onto George Rogers Boulevard behind the football stadium. Turn right at the light onto Rosewood Drive. Turn left at the light onto South Marion Street. Turn left onto Heyward. Stadium is at corner of Heyward and Whaley

From I-26
Take I-126 into Columbia. Turn right onto Assembly Street and follow Assembly into downtown and past Carolina Coliseum. Turn left onto Whaley Street. Stadium is at corner of Whaley and Heyward

From I-20
Exit onto I-26 in Columbia I-26 will run into I-126 Turn right onto Assembly Street and follow Assembly into downtown and past Carolina Coliseum. Turn left onto Whaley Street. Stadium is at corner of Whaley and Heyward.

Located adjacent to venue and surrounding area.

Note: Patrons are advised to use University lots and marked parking on streets. Venue is in a residential area and ticketing and towing sometimes occur for those who block the entrances to homes.

Senior captain Stephen Morrissey is a repeat selection as and accounting major, while junior defender Eric Martinez is an economics major. Both hold a 3.72 GPA and have started every match for the Gamecocks this season.
