Katie Ethridge, originally from Griffin, Ga., joined the University of South Carolina staff in August 2007. She is associate director in the Dodie Academic Enrichment Center and serves as the advisor for men’s basketball and women’s tennis. Previously, she worked with football and men’s and women’s swimming and diving. Ethridge has helped lead men’s basketball, women’s tennis and football to their highest GPA on record while working with each. Prior to arriving at South Carolina, Katie worked as assistant academic coordinator in football at NC State. She graduated in 2002 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in sport studies with a concentration in journalism. Ethridge continued her education at Georgia State University where she obtained her master’s degree in sport administration in 2005.
