Riding a six-game winning streak, the South Carolina women’s basketball team has several players at the top of the nation in several statistical categories. The team also is ranked high in several categories in the NCAAsports.com weekly compilation of statistics that were released on Tuesday.

NCAASPORTS.COM reports

  • Freshman Iva Sliskovic is first in the nation in Field Goal Percentage, making 39 of 53 FG (73.6 %)
  • Senior Cristina Ciocan is second nationally in assists per game (11.5 apg)
  • Senior Kelly Morrone is ranked 11th nationally in three-point field goals per game (at 3.4)

As a team, the Gamecocks are:

  • First in the nation in assists (24.3 apg)
  • Fourth in the nation in scoring offense (88.6 ppg)
  • Seventh nationally in three point field goals per game (3FG per game)
  • Ninth in field goal percentage (50.2%)

South Carolina will host Louisiana-Lafayette next Thursday, December 18th at 7:00 p.m. in the Colonial Center.
