Fayetteville, AR –
South Carolina’s No. 23 ranked men’s tennis team fell to Arkansas Sunday afternoon by a score of 4-3. The loss moves the Gamecocks to a mark of 8-2 on the year (2-2 SEC).

For the second time in three days USC surrendered the double’s point losing two games to one. After capping an impressive comeback win on Friday, South Carolina was unable to repeat the feat falling one point shy of a weekend sweep. The tandem of Rodrigo Pacheco and Seth Rose landed the only Gamecock doubles victory, winning by a score of 8-6. Angelo Niculescu paced the Gamecocks in singles play winning his ninth consecutive match and improving to 8-0 in dual match play. Marcus Westman and Rob Cassidy also walked away winners on Sunday. The pair of sophomores recorded straight set victories playing out of the No.4 and No. 6 positions respectively.

South Carolina will travel to Nashville, Tennessee to battle Vanderbilt of March 15th before returning home for a showdown against No. 7 Kentucky at the Sam Daniel Tennis Center.
