The Gamecock men’s basketball team, 17-2 and 4-1 in the SEC, has moved to No. 24 in the Associated Press poll released on Monday. For the first time this season, USC appeared at No. 23 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll.

Speaking on the ranking, USC Head Coach Dave Odom had this to say on Monday evening: “Which one is right?,” said Odom. “If you can tell me, I can make an intelligent statement. The point is – nobody knows. I’m pleased for the modicum of recognition the teams gets. It’s well deserved and they are getting it in the right doses. They have time to digest it and move on.”

The Gamecocks travel to Vanderbilt for an 8 pm (est) game in Nashville on Wednesday, Jan. 28. The game is not televised.
