This form is to be completed by coaches or sport-specific staff members to log unofficial visits made by prospective student-athletes. Prospective student-athletes may not make an unofficial visit to campus during a dead period unless the prospect has signed a National Letter of Intent or the institutions written offer of admission and / or financial aid or the institution has received a financial deposit in response to the institution’s offer of admission. During the fall semester, this log should be submitted to OCS weekly. During the spring and summer semesters, this log should be submitted to OCS monthly.
NCAA Bylaw 13.02.16.2. Unofficial Visit – An unofficial visit to a member institution by a prospective student-athlete is a visit made at the prospective student-athlete’s own expense. The provision of any expenses or entertainment valued at more than $100 by the institution or representatives of its athletics interests shall require the visit to become an official visit, except as permitted in Bylaws 13.5 and 13.7.
