No. 3 Gamecocks Open Spring Sunday in Florida
Loaded field features five top-10 teams in Golfstat
MELBOURNE, Fla. — No. 3 South Carolina opens the spring portion of its schedule on Sunday morning at the Moon Golf Invitational. The Gamecocks will play 54-holes over three days at Suntree Country Club as the team looks to continue its standout play from a fall season that featured two wins.
It’s the same five-player lineup for Carolina led by freshman phenom Hannah Darling, who is currently ranked No. 9 in the latest Golfstat Player Rankings.
Transfer Justine Fournand, who won the Landfall Tradition back on Halloween, is the No. 2 player in the lineup. Transfer Tai Anudi, freshman Louise Rydqvist and junior Mathilde Claisse round out the Gamecocks scoring five.
Sophomore Paul Kirner will compete as an individual this week.
Carolina will be paired with Auburn and Louisville for round one with Claisse leading things off on hole one at 8:50 a.m. (ET).
Live scoring will be available all tournament via Golfstat.
