Men’s Tennis to Host Gamecock Scramble
Columbia, S.C. – Four South Carolina men’s tennis players will compete in the Gamecock Scramble at the Carolina Tennis Center Oct. 29-31. The Gamecocks will face off against players from Wake Forest, Presbyterian College, Florida State, and Texas A&M.
South Carolina will play three rounds of singles and three rounds of doubles throughout the tournament. Live streaming and scoring can be found on GamecocksOnline.com.
Gamecock Notables
- Sophomore Connor Thomson, ranked No. 16 in the preseason, is coming off a strong performance in the ITA Carolina Regional where he went 5-1 to advance to the semifinal round.
- Junior Jake Beasley has positive momentum after going 4-1 in his most recent matches.
- Sophomore James Story, No. 56, is 5-2 across the last two fall tournaments.
- No. 49 Toby Samuel is 8-4 on the season, including a win over the No. 49 ranked player.

Saturday – 9 a.m. singles and doubles at the Carolina Tennis Center, 1 p.m. doubles at the Carolina Indoor Tennis Center
Sunday – 8 a.m. singles at the Carolina Tennis Center
