DALLAS—Three members of the South Carolina men’s soccer team were honored as a part of Conference USA’s postseason awards, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Peter Clement was named a Second Team All-Conference player, Logan Frost was named to the All-Conference Third Team and Harrison Myring was named to the All-Freshman team.
Clement led the way in the midfield for the Gamecocks. The co-captain started in 12 matches for Carolina, and was tied for the team lead in goals with four, assists with three and points with 11. Three of Clement’s goals came in conference play and he led Carolina with seven points against conference foes.
The honor is Clement’s second postseason conference accolade. He was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman team after the 2020-21 season.
Frost was involved all season long at the forward position. He tied with Clement for the team lead in goals (four), assists (three) and points (11). Frost put up two goals in a 2-0 victory against UAB on Oct. 9. He earned Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors in the conference for his performance against the Blazers. Frost also led the Gamecocks in shots with 28 and shots on goal with 11.
Myring played in and started eight matches for the Gamecocks. He put up 18 shots, which was third most for the Gamecocks this season. He put eight shots on goal, which is also the third-best mark for Carolina in that category. Myring earned his first collegiate point with an assist on Jared Gulden’s game-winning goal against Mercer on Sept. 21.
