Gamecock Athletics, the University of South Carolina Department of Student Life and the UofSC Homecoming Commission have partnered to paint the town Garnet & Black leading up to the Homecoming football game vs. Missouri.

On Friday, October 28, Gamecocks will take over Five Points at the corner of Harden Street and Saluda Ave for a Block Party and Pep Rally for that Saturday’s Homecoming football game. Activity will take place throughout the district from 5 – 10 p.m. The night will feature live music by the winner of campus’ Battle of the Bands, games, merchant sidewalk sales and specials, as well as some surprise VIP appearances and a performance by the funkiest band around, The Root Doctors! The famous Five Points fountain will also be dyed garnet for the week and several storefronts throughout the district will be decorated with school spirit by UofSC students.
