The Gamecocks will also broadcast every single home game on either the SEC Network or SEC Network+
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina volleyball will host four SEC Network national broadcasts this fall season, the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday. Including road matches, the Gamecocks will be on national TV eight times and will have their entire home and conference schedule available on either the SEC Network or the SEC Network+ online streaming channel.
The team has the distinction of hosting the first national broadcast of the season for volleyball when it welcomes in rival Clemson at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3. That will be the first of three national games on the SEC Network for September; the next will be a home match against Georgia on Sept. 22 followed by a road match at Texas A&M on Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. ET.
In October, the team begins the month with a 8 p.m. ET match at Missouri. There are two more national broadcasts in October, coming on the 20th against LSU at 8 p.m. and Alabama at noon on the 24th. The final two TV matches of the season come on the road, with a Nov. 10 match at 8 p.m. in Auburn and a Sunday matinee at Florida on Nov. 21.
The opening weekend of the season is Aug. 27-28, with the Carolina Classic tournament pitting the Gamecocks against Washington State, Rice and Pittsburgh inside the Carolina Volleyball Center. All three matches will be on the SEC Network+. South Carolina’s non-conference schedule features five teams that made the 2020-21 NCAA tournament and two others that were featured in the 2019 tournament. Season tickets are on sale now – $25 for adults and $10 for youth ages 17 and under, good for admission to all regular season matches in the fall (TICKET LINK).
