SEC Network and ESPNU to Televise Women’s Soccer Matches
The University of South Carolina women’s soccer team will appear four times on national television during the 2021 season, the Southeastern Conference announced today.
The 17th-ranked Gamecocks will be seen twice on the SEC Network and twice on ESPNU. Three of the televised matches will take place from Stone Stadium, the home pitch of Gamecock Soccer.
The first televised match will be Sunday, Sept. 12, when the Gamecocks host Virginia Tech. That contest will be shown live on SEC Network beginning at 5 pm.
Four days later the Gamecocks will be in action again at Missouri. The 7 pm match from Audrey J. Walton Stadium in Columbia, Mo. will air on SEC Network.
ESPNU will have the coverage for a pair of home matches in October. The Gamecocks will host Tennessee on Sunday, Oct. 10, at 2 pm, and entertain Alabama two weeks later, on Sunday, Oct. 24, at 1 pm.
Several other home games will be streamed on SECN+, including The Citadel (Aug. 19), Boston College (Sept. 2), Charlotte (Sept. 6), Vanderbilt (Sept. 23), Auburn (Oct. 1) and Georgia (Oct. 15).
The Gamecocks finished the 2020-21 season with an 11-5 record, including a 6-2 mark in SEC play, reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
