Parrott Named to SEC Community Service Team
Columbia native's third appearance on the all-service squad
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Senior Jack Parrott was named to the 2021 SEC Men’s Golf Community Service Team the league office announced. It’s Parrott’s third appearance on the squad in four seasons at South Carolina.
Parrott has been heavily involved in the community throughout his time as a Gamecock. He’s contributed to a variety of outreach projects including Habitat for Humanity, Harvest Hope Food Bank, Curing Kids Cancer, Meals on Wheels, The Therapy Place, Boy Scouts of America and volunteering his time at local elementary schools. He also regularly volunteers at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Columbia. A SAAC officer, Parrott was one of the lead organizers for the annual Palmetto Series Food Drive with Clemson.
In the classroom, he’s been a standout leading the team in GPA the past two seasons while also being named to the Dean’s List every semester of school and a member of the President’s List (4.0 semester GPA) four times (Spring 20, Fall 19, Spring 19, Fall 18).
On the course, Parrott just concluded his collegiate career at the Albuquerque Regional this week. He finished T-47th at 5-over (221), shooting 70 (-2) in the second round of his first postseason start. The local product from AC Flora finished his career with a 73.39 scoring average in 13 events played.
A recent graduate with a degree in public health, Parrott has plans to attend medical school where he aspires to be an orthopedic or aesthetic surgeon.
