Columbia, S.C. – Junior Jenny Lake will lead the University of South Carolina into the Southeastern Conference Cross Country Championships, Monday, Nov. 3. The meet will take place at the UGA Golf Course in Athens, Ga. The women’s 5-kilometer race will begin at 10:00 a.m.

The Championships will mark the second time this season USC will compete on the UGA Golf Course. On Sept. 20, the Gamecocks competed in the Bulldog Stampede and placed sixth. Jenny Lake ran to a sixth place individual finish with a time of 18:37. Joining Lake in the lineup will be senior Mary Wright, junior Mary Claire Utsey and sophomores Lauren Paige and Shay Shelton. Freshmen include Nicki Breves, Ashley Cruse, Chelsea Kaczmarek, Christine Mudd, Tristan Rackow, Julie Reale and Karen Wigal.
