COLUMBIA, S.C. –
Continuing their tough schedule, the Gamecock volleyball program travels to Georgia and Florida to take on the Bulldogs and Gators, respectively. Live audio for the matches can be found at www.uscsports.com. The Gamecocks enter this weekend’s matches with a 10-10 overall record, 4-4 in the Southeastern Conference.

Friday, Carolina takes on Georgia in Athens at 7 p.m. Georgia leads the series against Carolina 33-16; however, USC has won the last four meetings. In 2002, Carolina topped the Bulldogs 3-0 and 3-1. Georgia is 13-7, 6-2 in the SEC with their only conference losses coming at the hands of Florida and Alabama. Georgia is 2-2 in home SEC matches.

Sunday at 6 p.m. the Gamecocks take on yet another nationally ranked team as they face the No. 3 Florida Gators. The Gamecocks were the last team to give Florida a SEC defeat, a 3-1 decision in Columbia in 1994. This year, Florida is 20-1, 8-0 in the SEC. Florida leads the all-time series 28-6 with a 23-1 mark under the direction of current head coach Mary Wise.
