The University of South Carolina equestrian team travels to Auburn, Ala. to face the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, Oct.25. This will be the fourth competition of the year for the team, their second varsity competition of the year. The Gamecocks have recorded first place finishes at recent IHSA events. And in their first varsity competition of the year, the Gamecocks lost 1075-1053.25 points to Georgia.

The meeting between Auburn and USC will be the Tigers’ first competition of the year. Senior Crystal Pope, who rides western, leads the Tigers, along with Cathy McEnroe (English), Rachel Smith (Western) and Kelly Gottfried (English). The competition will feature the new dual meet format.

The Gamecocks will travel to Judson College to compete in their third IHSA competition of the year on November 8 -9. Judson, located in Autaguaville, Ala. participated in South Carolina’s first IHSA event of the year back in September at Irish Oaks Equestrian Centre.
