Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll … Appeared in 12 matches, logging 321 minutes … Scored his only goal and added an assist for a 2-point performance in a 3-0 win over Georgia Southern (11/5) … Took his only shot of the season in that match, which was also on goal … Played a season-high 66 minutes against Georgia Southern (11/5) … Also logged over 50 minutes in matches against USC Upstate (9/10) and Queens (NC) (9/24).

2023 (R-Sophomore)

Played in 17 matches, starting 13 of them … Tied for third on the team with three goals … Tied for fourth on the squad with two assists … Notched the game winning goal against No. 1 UCF (11/5) … Tallied a goal and an assist against No. 2 UCF (10/22) … Played all 90 minutes in three matches … Named to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List.

Attended Phillips Exeter Academy and was captain of the team … named to the NEPSAC and WNEPSA All-Star Teams … finished his high school career with 24 assists … helped his club team Seacoast United Phantoms make the playoffs in his first year.

Son of Ian and Laura Burgess … father played soccer at West Virginia Wesleyan… has one sister, Kayla … made the National Honor Society.

Why he chose South Carolina:

The athletic program is unbelievable, and I was incredibly impressed by the professionalism surrounding the soccer program. Coach Annan seems to be exactly the coach I want to work for, and his assistants give the same impression.
