The University of South Caorlina men’s golf stands in tenth place, with a two-round total of 581, at the Country Club of Louisiana Collegiate in Baton Rouge, La. Auburn is on top of the leaderboard, followed by Ole Miss and North Florida to round out the top three.
The Gamecocks entered the second round in fifth placed but struggled as the day progressed. Junior Johan Kok and freshman Maritn Rominger lead the Gamecocks with a two-round total of 145, three-over-par.
Kok fired a two-under-par 70 in the first round and 75 in the second round. Rominger, tied with Kok in 23rd place, shot 74 in the first round and blasted a second round score of 71.
A native of Estill, S.C., Nash Elliot lies in third place on the USC squad, shooting two rounds of 73. Brent Dleahoussaye (40th) and Scott Feaster (55th) rounds out the Gamecock squad.
UAB’s Graeme McDowell and Auburn Tiger Lee WIlliams are tied for first with an eight-under-par score of 136.
The final round of action begins Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 8:00 a.m.
