Columbia, S.C. – Carolina volleyball (9-7, 3-1) returns to action Wednesday night as the Gamecocks host the Kentucky Wildcats (10-6, 2-2) at 7 p.m. Carolina leads the series against Kentucky 14-13 and has won the last six matches. USC is looking to record its third straight SEC win of the season. Wednesday is also Armed Forces Day and all military personnel who show their military ID or wear their uniform get free admission to the match.

Both teams are coming off of weekend sweeps as they defeated Ole Miss and Mississippi State. USC swept both the Rebels and the Bulldogs while the Wildcats went 3-1 against both teams. Carolina’s top leaders are Lynae Vanden Hull with 171 kills on the season and Lauren Ford with 62 total blocks. For the Wildcats, Sarah Spinner is averaging 3.81 kills per game and has 236 total kills while sissy Canfield has 62 total blocks, averaging 1.00 block per game.

In SEC play, Carolina is 3-1 with its lone loss coming by the hands of Arkansas. Kentucky is 2-2 and suffered losses to Arkansas and LSU. In the eastern division, the Gamecocks enter the match second while the Wildcats are fourth.
