Gamecocks Add Bucknell Transfer Jenna Hall

COLUMBIA, SC – The South Carolina women’s soccer team has added a new addition in Bucknell transfer Jenna Hall, as announced by head coach Shelley Smith on Tuesday.

Hall, a Huger, S.C. native, comes to the Gamecocks as a repeat Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year, becoming just the fifth two-time honoree in league history. The senior keeper played every minute in goal over the team’s 21 matches in 2023, tallying 139 saves with 22 goals against, resulting in a .863 save percentage and 1.03 GAA. Hall led the Patriot League in save percentage and saves per game (6.62), and tied for the league lead with nine shutouts. Her 139 saves were the most by a Bucknell keeper since 1997, ranking fourth in the NCAA for the stat.

During her time as a Bison, Hall led her team to three straight league titles, was a three-time All-Patriot League goalkeeper (2022 and 2023 First Team, 2021 Third Team), a two-time United Soccer Coaches All-North Region, 2023 Patriot League Tournament MVP, and three-time Patriot League All-Tournament Team (2021-23). Hall broke the school record with 26 career shutouts, ranks second in GAA (0.99), second in save percentage (.848) and fourth all-time in saves (351).

In the classroom, Hall was named a 2023 Academic All-Patriot League selection, and a member of the 2020, 2021, and 2022 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Prior to Bucknell, Hall played club soccer with CFC United, helping the team to 2017-18 and 2018-19 ECNL Champions League National Playoffs, and was a 2018 ECNL New England Conference Champion.
