South Carolina earns fourth-straight No. 1 seed in 25th consecutive NCAA Regional selection
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – No. 2 South Carolina is headed to the Auburn Regional as the top seed for leg one of the 2024 Division I Women’s Golf Championship May 6-8 at the Auburn University Club. It marks the 25th consecutive NCAA Regional appearance for the program.
It’s the fourth-straight year the Gamecocks have earned a No. 1 seed.
Teams will play 54-holes of stroke play at the six regional sites across the country with the top-five teams and top individual on non-advancing teams punching their tickets to the NCAA Championship.
This year’s championship will take place at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. May 17-22. It will be the first of three NCAA finals hosted by Texas at the west coast course.
The Gamecocks, who have won four times this season against one of the toughest schedules in the country, are looking to punch the program’s 11th trip to the NCAA Championship in the last 14 seasons under head coach Kalen Anderson. The three-time SEC Coach of the Year has led Carolina to 12 NCAA Championships with three top-five finishes in her 17 seasons as head coach.
