COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina women’s soccer had three members of its 2019 incoming freshman class earn All-America honors, TopDrawerSoccer announced over the weekend. All-America teams are selected form the 88 regional honorees and are compiled by TopDrawerSoccer with consultation from coaches and media members from around the country.

Forward Samantha Meredith was named to the first team, while Riane Coman and Eveleen Hahn were named to the second team. The three All-America honors for the Gamecocks is tied for the most by any one institution in the country, and the most by any team in the SEC.

Meredith, a native of Charleston, S.C., was also named to the Carolinas All-Region Team. She scored 40 goals while leading Wando High School to a 23-1-1 season and a Class 5A state runner-up finish.

Coman adds her second-team honor to her already impressive list of recognition out of high school. A native of Charleston, S.C., Coman was named the 2018 South Carolina Gatorade Girls’ Soccer Player of the Year and was named an All-American by USA Today and the United Soccer Coaches while leading Academic Magnet High School to two state championships.

Hahn’s last appearance on the pitch was during the All-Star match between North and South Carolina, a match that was decided by Hahn in the 1-0 win for North Carolina. Hahn’s second-team honor extends her list of notable high school accomplishments that includes an All-America nod from the United Soccer Coaches and being named the North Carolina State Female Player of the Year.
