No. 19 Gamecocks Add Southern Intercollegiate to Schedule

COLUMBIA, S.C. – No. 19 South Carolina added an event to its 2019 spring schedule on Friday, as the team will be competing at the Southern Intercollegiate in Athens, Ga. on Monday, April 15. Teams will play 36 holes to determine a champion at the one-day event hosted by the University of Georgia.
 
Due to rain and inclement weather at two tournaments, the All-American Intercollegiate (Feb. 17-19) and the Valspar Collegiate Invitational (March 17-19), the Gamecocks picked up a couple competition days and added the tournament to their schedule.
 
It will mark the team’s final regular season event prior to the SEC Championship, April 24-28 in St. Simons Island, Ga. at Sea Island Golf Club.
 
Carolina is back at it tomorrow as it opens play at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational. It’s a 36-hole day for the field with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. ET. Click here to visit the tournament website for more information on the event.
