Women's Soccer to Host NCAA First Round
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The No. 14 ranked South Carolina women’s soccer team (10-3-7) will be playing in the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament for the 12th straight season, hosting East Carolina (10-3-7) as the No. 3 seed. The NCAA appearance will be the 17th in program history. A kickoff date and time will be announced when available.
Regular Season Highlights:
- Finished 4th overall in the SEC Standings
- Currently ranked #14 in the country
- Ranked nationally in top 25 throughout the season, reaching as high as 14th
- Reached the SEC Tournament for the 18th straight season and competed in the Championship game for the second time in three years
- Head Coach Shelley Smith tallied her 350th career win
- Finished the regular season ranked first in the nation for average and total attendance in back-to-back seasons
