COLUMBIA, S.C. – The No. 14 ranked South Carolina women’s soccer team (10-3-7) hosts East Carolina (10-3-7) as the No. 3 seed in the first round of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament on Friday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
The Gamecocks fell to No. 21 Texas in the championship game of the SEC Tournament on Sunday, 1-0. South Carolina outshot the Longhorns 17 to 14 and forced the Texas goalkeeper to make seven saves. Despite several close chances throughout the game and a few shots that hit the post, the Gamecocks couldn’t find the back of the net. Texas converted off a corner kick in the 80th minute to secure the win.
SCOUTING THE PIRATES
East Carolina upset No. 19 Memphis in the championship game of the American Athletic Conference Tournament, 1-0, to get an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
