Fisk Named to TopDrawerSoccer.com Postseason Best XI Team

CULVER CITY, Calif.– South Carolina soccer standout Grace Fisk was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Postseason Best XI teams, as released by the publication Tuesday morning.

Fisk shined on the Carolina back line in her second season in Columbia. The South Carolina captain and two-time SEC Defensive Player of the Year helped the Gamecocks post the most shutouts in the SEC (12), and Carolina’s league-leading 0.56 goals against average rankED 13th in NCAA Division I. Fisk, a native of Bromley, London, also contributed on the offensive end with three points. She netted the game-winner in Carolina’s 3-0 VICTORY over Kentucky, heading home a goal off a corner kick in the 10th minute.

The TopDrawerSoccer.com honor adds to Fisk’s stellar 2018 campaign during which she was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-SEC along with being named an All-American for the second time since joining the Gamecocks in 2017.

South Carolina finished the 2018 season in the NCAA Tournament round of 32 after defeating UNCG in the opening round at Stone Stadium. South Carolina’s 14 wins in 2018 marked the third-straight season with at least that many victories. The Gamecocks round of 32 appearance was also their third straight.
