Trip to Clemson Ends in a Draw
CLEMSON, SC – The No. 12 South Carolina Gamecocks took on the Clemson Tigers on the road Thursday night, finishing in a 0-0 draw. It’s the first draw of the season for South Carolina, but the Gamecocks remain undefeated at 4-0-1.
- Mackenzie Johnson started things off quickly for South Carolina, taking a shot just 21 seconds into the game, coming just off target to the right
- The remainder of the first half was an all-out possession battle between the two teams, with the Gamecocks getting off two more chances before heading in the locker room for the break
- South Carolina took four more chances in the second half, with one on target
- Freshman Ava Tutas led the way in shots, with two
- Senior keeper Tina Tsaousis had two saves on the night
- The draw marked the fourth in a row between the Gamecocks and Tigers
