Gamecocks Pick Up Point on the Road Against Gators
GAINESVILLE, FL – The No. 15 Gamecocks (8-1-2, 2-0-1) drew 0-0 with the Florida Gators (4-5-1, 0-2-1) Sunday evening, picking up a point on the road in SEC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- South Carolina had a strong first half on paper, outshooting the Gators 9-3 while keeping Florida shotless on frame
- The Gamecocks took seven corners through the first 45 minutes, tying a season high for the most in a half
- Despite four chances from sophomore Katie Shea Collins to lead the first half, the Gamecocks were unable to get past Gator keeper Paloma Pena
- South Carolina took three more chances, but was unable to get on the board

- The 0-0 draw marks the eighth shutout for the Gamecocks this season, tying for the most in NCAA DI soccer
- Senior keeper Christina Tsaousis’ GAA of 0.31 leads the SEC and is one of the top-10 marks in the country
