Daryabeigi, da Silva Complete Competition at ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – South Carolina men’s tennis wrapped up its first fall tournament of the 2025 campaign with two Gamecocks competing in the consolation stage of main draw singles at the ITA All-American Championships.

Senior Lucas da Silva and junior Sean Daryabeigi both opened main draw play in the round of 64 on Wednesday morning. Daryabeigi fell 6-4, 6-4 to Trevor Svajda of SMU, while da Silva dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision to Michigan State’s Ozan Baris.

Both returned to action in consolation play. Daryabeigi pushed No. 9 seed Martin Borisiouk of NC State to a first-set tiebreak before narrowly falling 7-5, and dropped the second set 6-1 to conclude his run. da Silva battled Ohio State’s Alex Okonkwo to three sets, claiming the opener in a 7-3 tiebreak before falling 6-1, 6-2 in the final two frames.

Up next, select Gamecocks will compete in the ITF M15 Winston-Salem from Sept. 29 to Oct. 5.
