Women's Hoops Hosts Exhibition Friday Night

COLUMBIA, SC – South Carolina women’s basketball unofficially tips off its 2025-26 season with an exhibition game against Anderson on Fri., Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. at Colonial Life Arena.

FAN INFORMATION

• Admission to the exhibition game is free with general admission seating in all sections, except selected marked seats reserved for team use.
• Parking in lots immediately around Colonial Life Arena will be $20 per car.

GAMECOCK NOTABLES

• South Carolina has two exhibition games scheduled for the second-straight season, including a neutral site contest against an NCAA Div. I opponent.

• Since 2009-10, South Carolina is 16-0 in exhibition games against colleges, winning those games by an average of 56.2 points.

• South Carolina’s 2025-26 schedule includes 10 games against teams ranked in the preseason national polls. Three of those games are in non-conference action, and six of the 10 are against other preseason top-10 opponents..

• ESPN rated Ta’Niya Latson the most impactful transfer heading into the 2025-26 season. The nation’s leading scorer last season at 25.2 points per game, the Florida State transfer chose to join the Gamecocks because of Staley’s proven ability to prepare player for the WNBA by expanding their game beyond their comfort level.
