Gamecocks Host LSU for Senior Night
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina volleyball team (9-13, 3-9 SEC) hosts LSU (11-12, 4-8 SEC) for the third match of its four-game home stand on Friday, Nov. 7 at 7:00 p.m. The match will be streamed on SEC Network+ with live scoring available on Stat Broadcast. Fans can also follow along from home through in-game updates on X @GamecockVolley.
Gamecock seniors Sarah Jordan, Alayna Johnson, and Kimmie Thompson as well as graduate student Emily Beeker will be honored in a brief ceremony before first serve.

WEEK TEN NOTABLES
- The Gamecocks split their results at home last week, dropping the first match 3-1 against Auburn before rallying back for an 3-1 upset win over then-No. 25 Florida
- It was a balanced effort from the offense last week as three Gamecocks had double digit kills against both opponents. Elise Marchal led the attack with 11 kills in both games, setting a new season high
Against Auburn
- Offensive depth was on display as six Gamecocks had seven or more kills
- Laiya Ebo hit .556 with a team-leading 11 kills and just one error for a new season high. The mark currently ranks second on the team and seventh in the SEC for four set matches
- Sarah Jordan earned her third double-double of the season with 27 assists and 10 digs
- Two Gamecocks, Jordan (27) and Thompson (24) had over 20 assists
Against Florida
- The Gamecocks had their second upset of the season over a No. 25 opponent against Florida
- The victory also marked the first SEC home win of the season
- South Carolina has now won the past three consecutive matchups between the two teams, making it the Gamecocks’ longest win streak in the series record
- Alayna Johnson earned her second double-double of the season with 10 kills and 11 digs
- It was a balanced effort on all areas of the court with three Gamecocks recording double digit kills and four players earning double digit digs
- South Carolina had its sixth match of the season with 11 or more blocks
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
LSU enters Friday’s match off of a 3-2 road victory over Ole Miss. Prior to that, the Tigers had a three-game home stand where they went 0-3, falling to Mississippi State, then-No. 2 Texas and then-No. 9 Texas A&M. Like the Gamecocks, LSU also upset a ranked Florida 3-2 earlier in the season at home. South Carolina native Jurnee Robinson is the team’s top offensive threat with 428 kills so far this season, a mark that ranks seventh in the NCAA and first in the SEC. Additionally, the junior ranks in the top 20 in the nation for attacks per set (11.73) and points per set (5.33). Robinson was named to the 2025 AVCA Division I Player of the Year Watchlist and has picked up two SEC weekly awards this season. Robinson’s skills are versatile as she also leads the team with 237 digs, averaging 2.66 per set. Nia Washington follows right behind her in kills (279) and digs (185), leading the team in aces with 22. Lauren Brooker is the Tigers’ top setter, passing out 518 assists this season for 5.89 per set. On the defensive side, Jessica Jones leads the team with 95 blocks which is only five more than Gamecock Emily Beeker. Jones ranks 15th in the conference for blocks per set (1.07) and seventh for total blocks. The Tigers lead the series record 32-19 and have won seven of the last eight matches.
