No. 18 Gamecocks Host 14th Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Starting Monday

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – No. 18 South Carolina returns to The Lowcountry on Monday as it host the 14^th edition of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate (March 2-4) alongside Long Cove Club. The 54-hole stroke play event will be televised live each day from 2-5 p.m. (ET) by Golf Channel for the fifth consecutive year.

The event made history in 2022 with Golf Channel becoming the first regular season women’s college tournament to be aired live on TV.

The tournament, affectionately known as “The Greatest Show in Women’s Collegiate Golf”, is free and open to the public. For more information on attending as a spectator, view the tournament website here.

Grammy Award winner recording artist and Gamecock alum/avid supporter Darius Rucker will host a private concert for the team’s competing tonight to kick off the event, per usual.

It’s another strong field this week with 11 teams ranked in the latest Clippd Top-25 Poll.

The Gamecocks have three consecutive individual champions of the prestigious event with All-Americans Mathilde Claisse (2023), Hannah Darling (2024) and Louise Rydqvist (2025) each winning medalist or co-medalist honors.

All eight players on the roster will compete for the Gamecocks this week at Long Cove. The five-player lineup will consist of junior Vairana Heck, sophomore All-American Eila Galitsky, junior Maylis Lamoure, freshman Molly McLean and freshman Laura Nepper. Senior Mia Sandtorv Lussand, redshirt junior Camila Burnett and junior transfer Alicia Olsson will play as individuals.

Round one action gets under way Monday morning and Nepper will be the first player off for Carolina at 9:30 a.m. (ET) from hole 10. Clippd will have live, hole-by-hole scoring for the tournament here. The Gamecocks will be paired with No. 15 Ole Miss and No. 21 Arizona State for the opening 18 holes.
