COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina men’s tennis junior Gabriel Friedrich has been named the SEC Player of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday. The SEC weekly honor is the first of the season for the Gamecocks and comes after Friedrich helped South Carolina improve to 7-0 on the season last Friday.

Friedrich’s contributions this season have helped lead the Gamecocks to a 7-0 record, their best start to a season since 2012.
