Clear Bag Policy | Soccer Game Day Policies | Men’s Schedule | Women’s Schedule
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Beginning in 2016, South Carolina soccer matches are included in the Athletics Department’s new clear bag policy for all ticketed athletic events in a move designed to provide a safer environment and more expedited entry for fans.
The Athletics Department encourages fans to not bring any type of bag to games, but understands that there are some who prefer to do so.
Similar to those implemented by the NFL and many other college and professional stadiums, the new policy will limit the size and type of bags that may be brought into South Carolina Athletics events, including men’s and women’s soccer matches at Stone Stadium.
With the addition of the new Gamecock Soccer Complex, the Stone Stadium entrance from Marion Street will be closed to fans, leaving two entrances for supporters on Whaley and Heyward Streets underneath the grandstand. Students are encouraged to use the Whaley Street gate as their entrance point to the facility. The standing-room-only gate behind the north goal at Stone Stadium is exit only. All South Carolina students receive free admission to any men’s and women’s soccer match with their student ID.
Parking remains the same as 2015, with all fans encouraged to park in the Heyward Street Garage free of charge for every home soccer match. The parking lot on Marion Street is gone in place of the new Gamecock Soccer Complex on the same site. Promotions schedules are up for both the men’s and women’s teams.
