COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina will face Seton Hall on Dec. 12, 2016, as part of the Under Armour “Reunion” doubleheader at Madison Square Garden, Under Armour and Madison Square Garden announced on Thursday in a joint press release. Under Armour and Madison Square Garden have joined for a collegiate basketball partnership.

The contest versus Seton Hall will be Carolina’s first in the venue since clinching the 2006 NIT Championship at the Garden. Carolina has played several games during its history at Madison Square Garden. Auburn from the SEC will play in the doubleheader as well, as the Tigers will face Boston College.

South Carolina has faced Seton Hall just once, posting a 75-74 victory over the Pirates on Jan. 26, 1974, with that contest also played at Madison Square Garden. Then-sophomore Mike Dunleavy hit two free throws in the final seconds to clinch the one-point Carolina win.
