South Carolina women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley, senior guard Tiffany Mitchell and sophomore forward A’ja Wilson traveled to Charlotte, N.C., Thursday for SEC Media Day at the ESPN/SEC Network studios. The trio shot segments for the upcoming season, including interviews, play breakdowns and social media pieces, while also meeting with local and national media members and joining The Paul Finebaum Show.

Coming off a trip to the NCAA Final Four last season and picked to repeat as SEC regular-season champions this season, the Gamecocks talked a lot about staying disciplined to the hard work that bred last season’s success and how the team and style of play will look different in 2015-16. Staley has been putting the team through its paces, looking to increase the tempo of play throughout the game to take advantage of her team’s depth.
