COLUMBIA, S.C. – In response to the recent flooding and hardships faced by the Columbia community, University of South Carolina Athletics announces free admission for this weekend’s men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball matches. Each venue will also have reduced concessions, and the Athletics Department has partnered with United Way to collect donations for relief efforts.

The weekend of events begins tonight as women’s soccer takes on Auburn at 7 p.m. at Stone Stadium. On Friday at 7 p.m. both volleyball and men’s soccer are in action. The Gamecocks will host Auburn at the Volleyball Competition Facility, and Stone Stadium will see the Gamecocks take on Florida Atlantic. On Sunday, volleyball faces Texas A&M at 1 p.m.

Concessions will be operational for all events but on a limited basis due to the boil water advisory. Bottled water and soda are available and all concession items will be just $2. Because the water fountains will not be available, fans are welcome to bring in their own unopened bottled water for this weekend’s events.

The United Way will be on site at Friday night’s men’s soccer and Sunday afternoon’s volleyball matches to collect donations. Fans who would like to contribute can visit the Lange Moving truck outside each venue where United Way volunteers will be on hand 6-8:30 p.m. Friday and noon-1:30 on Sunday.

South Carolina’s national championship equestrian team is also competing this weekend, hosting Auburn on Friday at 2 p.m. Admission to One Wood Farm in Blythewood is always free.
