COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina head women’s golf coach Kalen Anderson released the team’s 2015-16 schedule on Monday on the heels of one of the most successful seasons in program history. South Carolina is set to compete in four tournaments in the fall, followed by five in the spring.

“I am very excited about this year’s schedule,” Anderson said. “As usual we have a very challenging tournament lineup in an effort to best prepare us for the postseason. We have a couple of new events this year, including the Mason Rudolph at Vanderbilt and University of Arizona’s home tournament. We look forward to kicking off our season at Vanderbilt, and then defending our title at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate.”

Anderson’s squad laid claim to one of the most successful seasons in program history in 2014-15. Anderson led the Gamecocks to their first No. 1 ranking in program history after their win at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate. The Gamecocks would later earn the program’s first No. 1 seed in the NCAA East Regional, the program’s third NCAA East Regional title since 2010 and their sixth-straight NCAA Championship appearance.

The Gamecocks will look to build on last year’s historic season as they open up the 2015-16 season by travelling to the 15th annual Mason Rudolph Championship slated for Sept. 18-20 in Nashville, Tenn.

For the second-consecutive season, the Gamecocks will travel to Reunion, Fla., for the second annual ANNIKA Intercollegiate at the Reunion Resort’s Watson Course set for Sept. 27-29. Once again, the 12-team field will include the nation’s elite programs, including the top 11 teams in last season’s final Golfweek rankings. The Gamecocks won the prestigious tournament last season, propelling the program to its first ever No. 1 ranking.

The Gamecocks round out the fall with their 11th-consecutive trip to the Tar Heel Invitational, this year called the Ruth’s Chris Invitational, at the UNC Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C., from Oct. 9-11 before heading to Wilmington, N.C., for The Landfall Tradition Golf Tournament from Oct. 23-25. The Gamecocks have claimed top-five finishes at both tournaments each of the past two seasons.

For the third season in a row, South Carolina opens its spring at the Florida State Match-Up Feb. 12-14 at the SouthWood Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla.

The weekend of March 4-6, the Gamecocks host the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate for the fifth-straight year at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C. The event has become one of the premiere tournaments in all of collegiate golf, drawing highly ranked teams from all across the country.

South Carolina wraps up the month of March by travelling west to Tuscon, Ariz., for a 36-hole competition at the Wildcat Invitational Mar 14-15. The tournament features several of the top programs of the western United States including teams from Arizona, California and Texas.

The Gamecocks prepare for postseason play at the Bryan Park Intercollegiate on April 1-3 at the Bryan Park Champions Course in Greensboro, N.C.

The 2015 SEC Championship will be contested on April 15-17 at the Greystone Golf Club in Birmingham, Ala.
