COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina beach volleyball program has added Lauren Percy to its 2015 signing class, Gamecock head coach Moritz Moritz announced Wednesday.

Percy, a native of Charleston, S.C., joins signees Katie Cross, Aubrey Ezell, Shannon Williams and Delaney Wood to make up the 2015 signing class.

“We are excited about the addition of Lauren to our 2015 class,” Moritz said. “She is a local product from Charleston and has a connection to the University of South Carolina, so it was a natural fit. She will continue to help us elevate the level of our program in the sand, in the classroom and in the community.”

Accomplishments:

• Lettered four years in indoor volleyball and one year in track at Ashley Hall
• Optimist Club Volleyball First Team Award (2014, 2015)
• Helped lead Ashley Hall to three South Carolina Independent School Association state runner-up finishes
• South Carolina High School Sports Report All-State selection (2012, 2013, 2014)
• SCISA North-South Team selection (2012, 2013, 2014)
• Charleston Post and Courier First-Team All-Lowcountry selection (2013)
• Ashley Hall Team MVP (2013, 2014)
• Qualified for four events in the SCISA state track meet: 100-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles, 4×400-meter relay, triple jump
• Won the 2015 SCISA state title in the 4×400-meter relay and holds the SCISA state record in the event
• Qualified for the USA Volleyball National Tournament four times in club volleyball
• Valedictorian, AP Scholar and won the Harvard Book Award
