With a team high 19 doubles victories Ben Atkinson made an immediate impact as a freshman on the 2002 Gamecock squad. Atkinson also made his presence felt in singles with a 7-2 mark in dual match play.
Atkinson currently leads USC with 21 victories this season and is second with 11 dual match wins. He compiled an 11-match winning streak from Jan. 16 through March 12. The sophomore from Yorkshire, England, is tied for the team lead with four SEC victories. He is 5-1 at No. 6 singles, 5-2 at No. 5 singles and has eight doubles victories.
