COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina volleyball program has signed Joely Cabrera to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Scott Swanson announced Friday.

The addition of Cabrera, a 5-6 defensive specialist/libero from Seca, Puerto Rico, pushes the Gamecocks’ signing class total to seven members as she joins Courtney Furlong, Claire Blumenthal, Madison Borowski, Callista Brown, Emma Lock and Jessica Turner.

“Joely is a confident and experienced player that will contribute to our program right away,” Swanson said. “Her volleyball background in Puerto Rico has prepared her to play at a high level and we couldn’t be more excited that she will be joining us in what we think will be a breakout year!”
